Recap of the Application Developers Alliance Workshop
Last month I had the pleasure of participating in the Application Developers Alliance Workshop in LA. I participated in a panel called “Maximizing App Revenue” moderated by Martin Price of Vdopia; together with Peter Heinrich of Amazon’s app store, Zachary Kuney of Google, Adam Rockmore of Fandango, we discussed the importance of understanding different ad formats and leveraging them effectively.
One of my main points was that when you’re running ads, testing is crucial. I always recommend that publishers soft release their apps and see what works before buying ads. Always make sure you’re up on the advantages of of various ad formats (and remember that video and native both tend to do incredibly well).
